Dr. Akiko Agishi was born in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan on January 5, 1939. She came to the USA as a Fulbright Scholar and graduated from UCLA with a Ed.D in Higher Education & Contrastive Analysis in Linguistics, 1975. She is the third of six children born to (the late) Mr. & Mrs. Mitsuo Osada. Mr. Osada was a former high school principal & an official Japan delegate (judge) to the international Olympic Winter Games for the ski jump. Dr. Agishi is the mother of two grown sons: Raymond (36) and Jun (35). Her husband, Mr. Agishi was a talented aerial photographer and is deceased. Akiko's hobbies are collecting fine art & decoys, skiing, ballroom dance, and traveling and cruising worldwide.
